Joe Shaw is a seasoned industry expert with over 22 years of experience at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, specializing in federal procurement, construction management, facilities operations, and environmental health and safety. With 18 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, he co-founded and led SRS, Inc., a multi-million-dollar African American-owned firm recognized for delivering high-quality construction and management services to federal and commercial clients.
As a strategic leader and entrepreneur, Joe has built a team of expert consultants dedicated to helping companies achieve measurable results. Drawing from his extensive experience, he understands the complexities of market entry, business growth, and operational excellence. His ability to navigate challenges, foster innovation, and drive success has positioned him as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Tremayne D. Anderson, COSS, OHST

General Industry & Safety Process Management Specialist
Tremayne D. Anderson is a seasoned Safety Manager with extensive experience in developing and leading strategic Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across the construction and general manufacturing industries. He specializes in Process Hazard Analysis, Six Sigma Green Belt Methodology, and Risk Assessment & Mitigation Strategies.

With expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and workers’ compensation case management, Tremayne is committed to ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance. His in-depth knowledge spans HAZWOPER regulations, air and water permitting, and hazardous waste management, ensuring organizations meet and exceed environmental safety standards.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE CONTRACTORS LICENSING AGENCIES (NASCLA)

The certification from National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) National Commercial Building Contractors, allows Joe to serve as a Qualifying Agent for any company that needs a general contractors license and wants to do business in any of these states. This General Contractor license certification is good for following states: AL, AZ, AK, FL, GA, LA, MS, NV, NC, OR, SC, TN, UT, VA, WV, and USVI

CERTIFIED FLAGGER INSTRUCTOR TRAINER

The certification allows for training of work zone flaggers in both one-and two person flagging operations. Controlling traffic through work areas is one of the most important – and dangerous – operations in construction maintenance. completion.  The training provided meet the federal industry guidelines of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the ANSI standard ISEA-107-2015; The Office of Highway Safety; the Federal Highway Administration.

BOARD OF CERTIFIED SAFETY PROFESSIONALS CONSTRUCTION HEALTH AND SAFETY TECHNICIAN

The Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is designed for individuals who demonstrate competency and work in health and safety activities devoted to the prevention of construction illnesses and injuries. The CHST certification meets national standards for certifications.

OSHA CERTIFICATIONS

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ensures safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards, and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. We are certified in:

  • OSHA Construction and Health
  • OSHA Fall Protection Standard for Construction
  • OSHA Fall Hazard Awareness for Construction Industry
Certified Safety & Health Official (CSHO)

To earn this certificate Joe Shaw completed a minimum of nine (9) courses, comprised
of required and elective courses, which include a minimum of 175.5 contact hours of
training through OTI Education Center courses to earn the Certified Safety & Health
Official Construction Industry certificate. The training encompassed all areas of
construction, environmental health and safety standards and best practices.

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training

HAZWOPER training is required for workers who respond to the uncontrolled release of
hazardous substances. The course you need depends on your job function, responsibilities, and previous level of training. Shawn Taylor is certified to teach the 8-hour HAZWOPER annual refresher training.

Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)

The Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification demonstrates knowledge to perform remediation work and an understanding of water damage, its effects, and techniques for drying structures. Shawn Taylor received his certificate from IICRC. The Institute of Inspection Cleaning an Restoration Certification (IICRC) is a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industries. Upon
achieving this certification, Shawn has the background to understand the procedures
necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold.

American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate

To earn this certificate Joe Shaw completed a minimum of nine (9) courses, comprised
of required and elective courses, which include a minimum of 175.5 contact hours of
training through OTI Education Center courses to earn the Certified Safety & Health
Official Construction Industry certificate. The training encompassed all areas of
construction, environmental health and safety standards and best practices.

Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)

This certificate allows Tremayne Anderson to help companies identify hazards, determine regulatory requirements, and implement corrective actions. He can perform risk analysis for key job processes and conduct safety audits and inspections.

CertifieConstruction Finance Management

Shawn Taylor completed this 12-week course which provided a deeper understanding of
real estate finance for development projects and investments, including budgeting, cost
estimating, and predicting and mitigating risks.  Shawn received the training certificate
from Emeritus in collaboration with Columbia Engineering Executive Education.

Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM)

To earn this certificate Joe Shaw completed a minimum of nine (9) courses, comprised
of required and elective courses, which include a minimum of 175.5 contact hours of
training through OTI Education Center courses to earn the Certified Safety & Health
Official Construction Industry certificate. The training encompassed all areas of construction, environmental health and safety standards and best practices.The US Army Corps of Engineers and Naval Facilities Engineering Command requires all contractors performing construction on Corps projects to comply with the “Contractor Quality Control” (CQC), provisions in their contracts.  Joe Shaw is a certified Quality Control Manager and can provide this service.
